Underpressure Drilling:

Underpressure drilling (Hot tapping) is a means of making a live connection into an existing pressurised pipeline without the necessity to depressurise the system.

Underpressure drilling (Hot tapping) techniques can be used on most pipelines working at pressures up to 25 bar including, cast iron, ductile iron, steel, PVC, asbestos cement, PSCP and MDPE.

Flanged outlets can be either BSP, PN16, PN25, PN40 or ANSI class 150.

Swan Pipelines can complete under pressure drillings (hot tapping) to the same size as the host main (size on size connection).
